PEPTIDE THERAPY

Peptides are short-chain amino acids that occur naturally in the body. Amino acids are building blocks for proteins which act as signaling molecules in the body and instruct cells on which functions to perform.

Since 1921, over 7,000 peptides have been discovered in the human body. About 500 have been sequenced and available for therapeutic purposes. Although peptides have been used successfully for over 50 years, most are not FDA approved, with only about 250 peptides having received FDA approval.

What Are Peptides?

Our clinic gets peptides from a fully certified compounding pharmacy and are of the highest quality obtainable. Peptides may be administered orally, nasally, subcutaneously, or intravenously. They are usually taken in 8-12 week cycles, depending on the individual’s needs and goals.

Benefits of Peptide Therapy

Peptides optimize your health in many ways, including:

  • Healing injuries rapidly (2-3x faster)

  • Promoting fat loss

  • Boosting muscle growth

  • Improving health and vitality of skin

  • Improving the gut microbiome

  • Building collagen

  • Enhancing cognition and mood

  • Promoting longevity and slowing aging

Inflammation is the root cause of most, if not all, health conditions and diseases. Traditional pharmaceuticals treat inflammation by cutting off blood flow to the inflamed area(s) of the body, which ultimately causes even more damage in the long term. However, peptides do the opposite: they reduce inflammation by inducing angiogenesis (increased blood flow and new blood vessel formation).

Due to aging and environmental toxins, our ability to produce and absorb these peptides decreases. By supplementing these peptide deficiencies, we can aid the body to return to its natural state of homeostasis.
